  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or butter Binds dry ingredients and helps brown the topping.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Adds crunch and visual interest.
  • 1/4 cup raisins or cranberries (optional) Adds pockets of chew and sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced apples with cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix rolled oats, protein powder, brown sugar, almond flour, and melted coconut oil until crumbly.
  4. Layer the apples in a baking dish, then spread the oat mixture over the top.
  5. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts and dried fruits on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving, and enjoy your guilt-free dessert!

Notes

Serve slightly warm, optionally with a scoop of yogurt or a drizzle of honey. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
