  • 1/2 cup firm tofu, crumbled Gives body and subtle creaminess to filling.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adds savory depth to the filling.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds a toasty flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Easy aromatic flavor.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and water. Knead until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Filling Preparation
  1. In another bowl, mix chopped vegetables, crumbled tofu, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Dumpling Assembly
  1. Roll out dough and cut into circles.
  2. Place a spoonful of the filling on each circle, fold, and seal.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place dumplings on a baking sheet, brush with oil, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve hot with a simple dipping sauce of soy sauce and a splash of vinegar or chili oil. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
