Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Provides the chocolate coating that brings flavor and structure.
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows Adds chewiness and helps with binding.
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal The base of the bars, light and crispy.
  • 1/2 cup butter Melts with chocolate to make a smooth binder.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Rounds out the flavors of chocolate and marshmallow.
  • 1 cup colored sprinkles A cheerful finish for decoration.

Method
 

Melting
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract.
Mixing
  1. Mix in the mini marshmallows and Rice Krispies cereal until evenly combined.
Pressing and Cooling
  1. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and press down firmly.
  2. Top with colored sprinkles.
  3. Allow to cool, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

These bars are best at room temperature after they've set. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator. If they get too firm, let them come to room temperature before serving.
