  • ½ teaspoon sugar Feeds yeast and aids in browning.
Wet Ingredients
  • ½ cup warm water (about 110°F) Hydrates flour and activates yeast.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Adds richness and keeps crumb tender.

Method
 

Mixing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Stir in the warm water and olive oil until a shaggy dough forms.
Kneading and Resting
  1. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. Cover with a clean towel and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
Shaping and Baking
  1. After resting, shape the dough into a round loaf or small oval.
  2. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or lightly grease it, then place the dough inside.
  3. Set the air fryer to 330°F and bake for 15 to 18 minutes.
  4. Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store at room temperature in a paper bag or loosely wrapped cloth for a day. Slice and freeze for longer storage. Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispness.
